Yeah this 're the movies that my mom want a see, and there's nothing that can stop her, except if is bad. Bad hey, most of 90% audiences, see most awful movies, while 10% like the good movie, if not(then tell me, why in the hell Ghost Rider made it in to #1, tell me that).
So here ye go, the best of what this year can offer us.

10.REPO: THE GENETIC OPERA:
There's no way they can make a horror movie, and make it as musical. Directed by the same director of the saw film. The premise of the film sound interest to get me the latest liver transplant, With gore involve, and some of the weird characters, that not even Wes Craven
can make. this is something that can only be describe unique.

9.PINEAPPLES EXPRESS:
Those word Joint Engineering sound familiar for ya, if ye bought the 2disc of superbad or seen a scene on You tube, then you know what to expect. This is the cheech and chong of the new century. Another Apatow film, expect lots of profanity, and some new ways to smoke.

8.HANCOCK:
Will smith take on the whole superhero genre. Can only mean one thing:
Wheres the work? with supporting cast of jason bateman, and Charlize Theron.
This is something that could be better than my Super Ex girlfriend. Hey i need twist to the superhero films.

7.WANTED:
This time we ain't seen Angeline Jolie naked, But she know how to use a gun. Base on the Mark Millar graphic novel, there's height and low for it. why? under the direction of Timur Bekmambetov fame by making the most watch Russian film, change the whole style of the story, cause in the comic, is super villains, not assassins. So lets wait and see.

6.IRON MAN:
This could be a surprised, from marvel to jon Favreu, there's no telling where this movie could go, by casting Robert Downy as Tony Stark, this could make it as the best comic movie, with a great campy twist. Right now is one to keep an eye for. Cause going with real origin of the hero, there so much to see and laugh at same time.

5.Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian:
Disney till want some of the LOTR dow that it made, when it came out. So their solution this, fantasy is what we seen lately on the theater. And Caspian could be better than is predecessor, the action seem epic as always, but the visual will always capture our eyes, so you got time to read the book, or wait and see the movie. Cause either way is been directed by a guy that did a cg movies.

4.HELLBOY2:THE GOLDEN ARMY:
Yes now this is something that i want see in my fantasy movie, a little Spanish twist, with the thanks of Guillermo Del Toro, back at the director chair and bringing Ron Perlman to reprise he role. Hellboy2 could be something that we really gonna joy, and see some new members to the BPRD, the fan can wait no more than some bare knuckles fighting for the red boy.

3.CLOVERFIELD:
Mysterious surround this movie, with the marketing they have been giving, theres till ? .
All we know involve a big monster, than there isn't a real start, but that doesn't mean that is gonna be bad. 2.SPEED RACER:
This is the 300 of the year, with effect cars, and some top notch action, brought by the Wachowtski Bro. There's no telling what can we see, already is the effect is gonna make the movie good, but there's a world that we only seen in the cartoon, And now is the first full anime real movie(take that you guys that were gonna make the evangelion film).

1DARK KNIGHT/INDIANA JONES AND THE KINGDOM OF THE CRYSTAL SKULL:
Yesa is a tide, why let see both are huge franchises, both have their moment on screen and only one have trailer. We all know that what gonna make the dark knight good is one name the joker. that many of us have doubt when casting health ledger as the villain, said"why" now with trailer out, we see the real reason can he pull it off forget that, can Nolan make him real? cause already we know that he made him as the crazy bastard that he is, in the comics. Indiana Jones part, is the return of Raider cast reunited for this one time, and there's no telling what craze adventure Indy is ready to have, by going against the Russian, and introducing what quite possible could be he son, there's some surprises that can be found better than the temple of Doom. Hey if ye never grew up watching this movies, then go and see the breast of Lara Croft. You perv.

There's no denial, bad movies happen, from the pirates, to a web slinger, and to a biker ghost, that gave us a bad imitation of Elvis. They will continue existing, and we always be there to supported. So for this category it go to one movie that my mom have hype to seen it. But fell flat for everything they market it. So for further do here's the movie that my mom want to hit with a belt:

This wasnt a good year for Eli Roth, For 06 was something that define what they call the torture porn genre. Giving grotesque scene, high riding suspense's, and ending that couldn't live up with any-other movie. Now with the sequel, it didn't accomplish anything, sure it show how this organization work, how it chose it victim, show original torture scenes, and this time the stars were female. But where's the excitement of the first one, where the jokes, and why directed as another episode of the Gilmore Girl. I have to endure seen the Bug , to just see the 5min. preview scene, which i had hope for. Now on the day of the release that was on my birthday, Just getting out of the theater, i didn't want say it wasn't good, but average, but honesty is the best policy. That why it deserve to be hit with a belt.

MOMMY'S COOKING 10BEST MOVIES OF THE YEAR.

Last year was great and skanky year in films. With manny treequel(don't know if that word even exist) made in most anticipated film list, but only one made this list. So folk ignore the entertainment weekly, ebert & ropert, or any other list, for the best, cause they're the movies chosen, by the person who saw Gone by the wind 80 times, when to every major movie event(well sort off), and won an Oscar for best female in a lead role in Chocolat(the mexican version of course) my Mommy.

10.WALK HARD:
There's no denial they were more judd apastow film, then shaving bald Britney Spear dolls. But this spoof to the Biofilm, With the first time we see John C. Reilly in the lead role. He ain't making any indy film(until he get another oscar nom) With great imitation, coming from Jack White, Jack Black, David Munniz and great jokes n lines it didn't neat ed to make money in theater, cause with the song that was sang. Everybody know who Dewey Cox is. Especially with he's own brand of sausages.

9.BEWULF:
Yes the only Cg film on the list, with cutthroat, amazing barbarian action, and very nude Angelina Jolie. The movie remaster the next generation of epic movies, Beowulf master everything on how to be just a story of 300words. To be Screenwritten by "i know write a really great story, and writing comic my whole life"Neil Gaiman. And with the great the great 3d glasses made it to see it more,

8.I AM LEGEND:

Well les just said they should 've least stay with the original ending.

7.HOT FUZZ:
Simon Pegg n Nick Frost, made this the best of all homages films of the year(beside Grindhouse).
Giving their take on cop film, and adding it comedy. The team cannot seem to stop, with great chemistry, great plot point, and nice act of Simmon and Nick. Make ya forget on other police film(Swat, Miami Vice, etc, etc)

6.HALLOWEEN:
Been bash by the critic, Rob Zombie brought something new to the Franchise. The true magic go to: the making of a psychopath. There's no question to it, Rob did he homework. by just turning the "i m chasing you with a knife"routine, to a very dark and clever disturb movie. This by far is the best Horror movie of last year.(and well the only one too)

5.THE BOURNE ULTIMATUM:
Well way, it was the only of the Threequel that i like, been an action movie. There's no denial that Matt Damon made it look good. Following in the footstep of great movie chases, this one show it with something call: "Originality", so there's no better to end it , with Bourne living in the end of the film. Of course that wont last, theres a 4th on our way. God, Hollywood suck.

4.SUPERBAD:
Till said again this was a great year for Apatow and crew. With reinventing the whole teen genre film, and adding some new material(better than the pies dvd movies) theirs no time for a period stains. With the great ride from the officers, and the greatest last name in America(or name) Mclovin, made mom(i cant write that part, she my mom for godsake). Now with the pineapple express on the way. I don't know to expect, but involve something like joint engineering.

3.TRANSFORMES:
Yes, give way to the 80s films. Who knew that transformer film was gonna make it into film, and be directed by Michael Bay (weird). Made one of the money maker of the year. With sweet action and heavy bashing robot fight. Made us believe, how were the 80's child's, yes now with the sequel on the way(if there end for the screenwriter strike). They could add the dinobot now.
Yeah, les put some retard robot to the mix.

2.GRINDHOUSE:
Been release on Easter, it rott in the box office, that doesn't stop me by putting it on this list.
Robert and Quentin, Brought something that was forgetting on the cinema, full grown exploit film. Robert 's Planet Terror, made us remember the good old splatter, with great slapstick fun, and a very melting balls from Quentin part. Made this even more with some rambo action that just need it a leg for machine gun, yeah you go rosie. And their to many dialogue from the other Quentin's Death Proof made a nice touch to introducing us to a very dark Kurt Russell that could only have the name of Stuntman Mike , and getting kill by a chick leg, The best driving stunts that movie could have. But what really was worth the 3 hour were the fake trailers From the Man call Machete to the Eli Roth Thanksgiving. Made it more fun. Too bad they wont continue it. But that doesn't stop to been the #2. Give bringing more guys.

1.300:
Yes my mommy love those abs, ok then les stop been gay. Get serious, why this one , well easy from the hardcore acting to the visual. There's no denial 300 made it look so vintage to be consider an epic movie, with great battle sequences and making the gore an art. The movie accomplish everything. Show the true potential to what robert brought us from Sin City to this.
Frank Miller said it better, this how you make a comic movie. Now with Snyder working on the adaptation of Watchmen. There's no point where this new genre is heading. But you want more on why cause there's a particular lady that say the best line of the year "only spartan woman give birth to real men" that should make any mom proud.

There been movies, that have the same premise:

The last Mahican, the last star fighter, the last samurai, so on, so on. But there two that show last human of the world. Vince The last man on earth, Charles Omega man(of course there some survivors). And Now Will Smith is getting into the genre with the one that started it all. Here the review:

A new breakthrough in medicine have been made, finally a treatment that can cure cancer. Of course every medicine have some side effects.

So an outbreak exploded starting first in new york, then the world, spreading the disease by air, and touch. Some die, while other change, in a weird mutation, becoming carnivores. 3 Years after we meet Robert(Will Smith) Scientist especially in the field of disease, he is accompany by he German shepherd Sam. He spent most he day like any other, Wake up, eat breakfast, exercise, get out send a recording and wait by the pear of NY, then hunt, pick some corn and dvds on the way, get home bar the window and doors, and hear the infected scream all night long. While on he free time he start searching in he basement lab a cure that can reverse the infected to normal state. By when he meet another survivor that save him. Going by the name of Anna(Alice Bragga) and her son, in which they hear the message he aired on the radio, Telling him that god toll her about a sanctuary that is north, where there other like them survivors and Immune to the virus. But he don't believe it, cause they 're in ground zero. But the spirit of Anna believe of what she know.

Will Robert will find the cure in time? Do he believe Anna, about knowing of a save haven?

I haven't read which the movie is based. But the feeling, and of course the theme, is what this movie is about. Solitary, Just having the dog, make one feel not so alone. But the true feel is the movie going with no sound, take ya to that state of mind that we all dont want to be in. The acting Give the true human felling of it, especially the scene where Sam die, take one to the boarded of madness. Willl smith gave a tough act by going solo in a film like this. Same happen to Tom Hank in Robert Zemeckis Castaway. There ways that one must survive in a isolation. There show some flashback scene that show the evacuation of Mahattan, that see Robert getting he familly out and board them in a chopper, while there panic on the street. That give the background to he character. Now the infected(that what i naming them) are all Cg, from movie to jurassic park, to the new star wars prequels film. Most movies are heading that direction ma ken them fell more than a animated film, than a real one from the deers to the Brooklyn Bridge. Cg make ya loose the reality of films, but the feel of it , just make ya forget it.

Now the billboard of the movie, made it look more marketing stunt, by some of the poster of products, and other film that soon to be release(like the teen titan, and the secret batman and superman). Make it way mainstream, they even show some porn DVD. And the ending king is not the same of the book, but i think they want start a whole new series about this world.

Best movie for this holiday season, is suppose to be a horror movie but doesn't feel like, but more like a Darren Aronofsky fell(requiem of a dream). The focus where good, to the feel of it, and the knowing there little action in it, is the perfect film that will smith could ever make.

Dewey cox(John C. Reilly), have a good childhood, always with with he's gifted brother, playing on the farm. From been chase by a bull, crushing a horse and a tractor at same time, to making figurine with steel. It was suppose to be the best day ever, until he chop he brother on half, by playing machete. From there on he was mark by the hate of he father always saying"The wrong kid die today" and he lost of smell, but until he went to a store where he passion of music start. At age 14 Dewey started with hes band, in a school talent show. What people do when they hear him singing, riot, pleasuring one to another. But he pop have enough, So he kick him. But Dewey is determined to follow he dream to become a famous singer, with he 12 year old girlfriend Edith(Kristen Carroll). They go, working as a mop boy moping in some jazzy club where Afroamerican go to dance and sex up. But when the lead vocalist of the club band suffer a fight is up to Dewey to show them what he can sing, on the day some very important record producer come to check. A career begin, that show Dewey traveling with famous musician like Elvis(Jack White) Buddy Holly(Frankie Muniz) to even the Beatles(play by Paul Rudd, Jack Black, justin Long, and John Schwartzman ), to meeting he love of he life Darlene(Jenna Fisher) that help him through he multiple drug use, and rehab. That Help him to become the person that fought he demon, and made amend to many thing. Yes people, he live a life that most of us want, but face all kind of problem, and regain it again, again, and again, and again. that person is call Dewey Cox.

This by far the best performance of John C. Reilly, he play a good sidekick in Will Ferrell Talladega Night. But now going solo, as protagonist. Is no more supporting role for him, He comedy talent gave good laugh, especially when he 1st wife try to leave him, that say"you can take my children , but you leave me my monkey". Is a worthy act. And I swear i was confuse knowing that was Mira Sorvino playing the act of Darlene, but later realize it was the Office's Jenna Fisher, My favorite of the bunch was the interpretation of the Beetle, I mean Jack Black as Paul McCartney , if any one imagine a fat one, well this is how it he look like. And Paul Rudd as John Lennon, boy i bet ya one thing not even brat pit could play it like that. And who idea was to put Jack White into the role of the "King" Elvis, make him sound as cholo dilexy, And the short Buddy Holly. But the one that one that said the best Fraser of the movie got to go to jonah Hill that play a grow Natha. He blew me away in superbad, but the scene on the electric tub and saying the best line of the movie"----bate with a ghost hand" is the true hearth of the film.

Now the bad part, there were some joke that where already seen like the part where he taking off he shirt, showing he's 300 abs, was taken by another funny movie like 2nd naked gun movie. and repeating he problems, it was getting to tiring.

Knowing that the film wasn't directed by Judd Apatow(he produce it), he wrote it, giving it to jake Kasdan to directed, gave a goldmine in the way everybody said their line. Giving the true magic of the film. But was surprise me the most was hearing John C. Reilly sing, with song like Walk hard, Mullato, then some. Made him to be nominated by best actor in a comedy film.

To be over with this, John C. Reilly ain't making a supporting role on this one, a man that can sang that good, and award choose be giving. And having most of the cast of SNL,2 of the Office, it make it the best spoof movie of the year. And to make it even better with now we know how George Harrison die. The music ain't sang by Cox, is made by Cox.

Robert Zemeckis have always love to experiment with he's film, lately he did, with 205 Polar Express, and the produce Monster house(creepy kids), now he have joint with the re own writer, and author, Neil Gaiman. To bring us a imaginative vision of epic cg movie call beuwolf. But now that is been shown in 3d, is it worthy pay 2dllrs more for the lens. Well here the review:

In the Denmark 502 A.D. Kingdom celebrated by building a new hall, with his king(Anthony Hopkin) and her"who don't want to bear her child, cause cheat on her"queen (Robin Wright Penn), when outside, in the mountain a beast awaken, while the kingdom drink, eat, and do the hunky panky. The dogs hear the warning of danger, by that time the door are broken. Revealing the beast that call Grendel, for which the flames of the hall, change of color , to blue. every soldier go to him, Grendel hit n through the guard. He disappear, So the king send a warning for a hero that could slay the demon of the mountain. Beowulf come to the story, by then beowulf and he's man would be rewarded by golden horn, if he slay the demon call Grendel. So let make some noise, for which he come, and begin killing. By then beowulf, jump to he back to find hes weak point, for where he take the advantage , by shirking the beast, and ending it, by ripping he arm, and keep in ti. When Grendel come to his cave , her mother(she appear naked, Angelina Jolie) to he aid, for later dye in her arm. Back in the Castle a celebration is in need, for the death of the beast, n the man that kill it, Beowulf have the trust of the people n hes king, but when he man are slaughter by the mother of the beast, he go forth to confront her to the cave he go. Full of riches n darkness, the hero become arouse when he lay eyes to the demon of the beast, seducing him, from a proposition that her sensual beauty cannot deny. When he return, he tell he tale on how he slay the demon, knowing the king knows something for which he give hes kingdom with no heir , beowulf will follow. So the king fall from a cliff of the castle, beginning a new era, that belong to beowulf, the legend of the demon killer, from which some payment are beginning to pay.

The good part, The voice acting are the best thing (hey even the lip syncing, are that good, let see Ashley Simpson to that) but is john malkovich playing the advisor of the king Unferth, he making him act like in a theater play. The king part was most hilarious ye gonna see of Anthony Hopkins, do, but of course he never been funny(except that one where he play as motorcycle driver). The visual are some well rendering seen in 3D, From a pointy spear, to a wild ride from the back of a dragon, the gore factor, should have gone to a R then aPG-13.

That not even the Conan movies couldn't superb this, now that most epic movie are given with the cgi treatment, like it was in 300. More director we take note, from the style of the battle sequences, with The grendel fight it could have make maximus(gladiator) take a bathroom break. And let not forget (naked, naked, naked) Angelina Jolie, to bad is in Cg. By one could dream right.

Now the bad part: There were some scene, that were a little inaproppiate, like when Uferth give Beowulf he's sword and what come out he mouth, which make little gaylish, then there the rating for this movie which i already commented, but this was really violent from Zemeckis part, i mean i ain't no conservator, but this ain't a pixar movie, i mean when ye gonna hear woody talk about fornication. And let not forget the violent that it have, that even the Monster Inc. could do, OK incredible could. And the story, which the were more story of this hero, but knowing that it base of a poem, that only in English class could one recited. But should have give more adventure tale, of what made him the warrior that he is.

So is worth for a 2dllrs more to see it in 3D. But they should have have given it more back story to it. But the movie work more as a 3d spectacle, like it did in shrek 3-D. But from story, and acting is another thing. So this is the future of movie in 3D. For me not really a least they could make it for a theme park. But is Epic, and entertain so this is something the men could joy. Just leave the kids, at home, watching the sleeping beauty movie, is more lighter violent epic movie .

Did somebody saw Horrorfest07?

Horrorfest is a collection of horror film, view by 1week, that started last year. Now another year is upon us, and new films we be view in theaters, but there's problem. No one is gonna see them, not even the critics. So is up to me, show which were good, all i can say "It was better than last year"

This was my Fav of them all, cause is a mix of Hostel with some Wicker Man. Is like any horror film. The acting from most part have to go to Damian Alcazar as the former detective trying to catch a drug lord, but is the story that drove it to what could be the most strange event of disappearances of the country. Imean the suspense is something that could be made for a budget of 1mill, And the darkness of Sean Astin in the mix, also the shot of Mexico are real one that count , just by showing the building and the people, make me think that their 're director, that know My country well.

This one is produced, by the master of FXmake up, Stan Winton, What i like was the story about this man call Ian that every time he dies, he appear, in another life. In one hes doctor, he dies, now he a hockey player. That how it go. Only problem that i found was about the dark and smoking creature, that kill Ian, every time when he remember. they dont say much of the origin, and how they control the world around them, just they feed out of fear of men. This is a mix of Dark city with Groundhog day, also point out some the death ain't that good , only the torture scene in the hospital, showing the instrument that not even the guys of saw couldn't come up.

With movies showing how the end of the world could come, in many ways. But this one give a different perspective, a world with out gas. So what good about it. The story focusing on the survivors of a hospital been stalk by carnivals. what i like about it was the killing that go on, from a machete in the head, that something that never seen since dawn of the death's the bad ass of Michael Madsen, the only problem was, the story is short, don't show to much background to the characters, and the appearances of madsen was short. I would like him playing the main villain of the story. That could have given more terror to it.

Is been long that i haven't seen a monster movie, the last one was the Korean The host. Now come this one as i like to describe as Alien in the west. The action was fun, and the ways the creature kills, to the explosion of the gas station(was a little exaggerating on the count how the sheriff fly) to the twist that have , when stopping the monster. The bad part come from the special effects, it seem like this movie was made by the Sci fi channel movie of the week. The design of the beast was a cross of a raptor and alien(i to mean the Riddle kind) But overall entertaining.

So those were the one that i like, why i couldn't see the other, well i ain't made of money. with the prices for a ticket, no wonder there's a strike. Horrofest is best way to find the next generation of horror director, i know some of these film look to be made to DVD, but hey see just one and enjoy it, just be sure you're making and ass yer self, when you enter the theater.
