Will smith right now is the busiest person in Hollywood, with so many successful films, this man very well cab take on the 4th of July weekend. From great sci-fi film like Emerich ID4, to the Tommy Lee Jones buddy flick Man in Black 1and 2. Now he taking another role, that already is making a genre by itself, a superhero, directed by Peter Berg. Does he cut it, or is it something he couldn't fly to.

Here my review:

John Hancock(Will Smith) ain't your average superhero, yeah he save the days, sometimes, costing millions of damages, when he doing it, he's a drunker, a hater, and just plain couchpotato . That the public hate him, city hall more. That when he saves the life of Ray Embrey(Jason Bateman) a public relation, that find the opportunity, to help Hancock and win the public than been a flying alcoholic. For starters he advise him, to give himself up, and do time in jail(which in the end it doesn't go well), while Ray help him to be good, and how to make eye contact. While he recover, the city star to suffer, from the many wave of crimes. So that where he hear the calling, when a bank robbery is taking place. Shave, sober, and exhibiting a new suit, he is off to become L.A. defender, but there still the question of where he come from, how did he get those powers, and what connection does he have with Embrey wife Mary(Charlize Theron). This is the story of one man doing the possible, on taking advise by a guy who want to put a heart all over the world, and putting the head of someone in the rear. That's Hancock.

The story confuse me a lot, cause on the star show who he's is, demonstrating the many mischief, and destruction, when it come been a superhero, he by far the mouth show the comedic side. Then it go to the transition of a loser recovery that have a more serious and dramatic tone. The point of this film, is confusion, i mean what they were trying to tell. Is it a comedy, or just plain drama, cause Will have done that, in other movies, but when it come doing a twist to the superhero genre he try to give it another Oscar thought. Not even the Hulk can dothat, that's why is always destruction, and nothing of drama.

Will Smith performances, start great with him just speaking, and making trouble everywhere he goes. The same fun acting he gave in Independent Day. By then he go to he's pursuit of Happiness moment, which is a fast change(being the movie that last only 98 min). Jason Bateman coming from the hilarious (and cancel) Arrested Development, manege to pull it off, by been the manager, from the way that he teach him to say Good job, to giving him the uniform. Jason is getting all the atention . Now Charlize part was good, but typical, as the woman that distrust Hancock, and have mysterious connection. But most of the film she play it like guest host to the Jerry springer show.

Peter Berg shots, where great, some of the sequences were nice, from the whale scene, to the shoot out in the bank, he knows to make action scene, from he's last film the Kingdom, he give it another document look. Being Produce by Michael man the film show potential of what the superman could have been, for this. But when it come to the story telling it just go, flat.

Manny film have gone another direction, than your stander superhero film, and making somethiong new. but there hasn't been one, from Ivan Reitman My super ex girlfriend to the Super hero movie. the power of originality doesn't have. In the Marvel universe there already a bum of a superhero is name is the D-man(For demolition), that suffer the same thing.

For peter berg is know more in making great drama film, but when it come to comedy and superhero, he rather be directing superman 3. The film ain't bad, it got funny part, but the way is told, confuse it, especially when they don't mention what are they, or what purpose they have.

To finish, the movie try to show some moral value, but Will smith ain't flying good for this one, i least i like to see a spin off of the Jason character, i man that help superhero images. Now there's something they can do.

seriously now and day, comic based movies are not always superheros, ye know man in thigh, saving the world. Cause there's, another entertainment call graphic novels. From road to perdition to a history of violence, they are taking Hollywood, with great originality, in story telling. From great novels master, Alan Moore, to Neil Gaiman. Now there's one that follow the style just the 20% while the rest is pure adrenaline action, this is Wanted, and this is my review:

Pay close attention cause their will be some geek fact.

Wesley Gibson(James McAvoy) is your average guy, with stuck up job as accountant, in a infernal of cubicle, with a best friend that is doing her girlfriend, and with that comes anxiety attack. Life is beautiful, until he meet in a market The Fox(Angeline jolie) that tell him about the death of he's father Mr.x(David O'Hara), where he's recruited to a secret society of assassins, that have exited, since time itself calling themselves the fraternity. Now Wesley begins to truly take control of hes life when he discover hes inheritances, that make him give the f word to everything everybody that was he's life, from confessing the true life to her boss, to hitting with a keyboard he's former BF. To join this society Wesley have to endurance, straight hit to the face, knife fighting with a butcher, to even jumping over bridges, while running on the roof of a subway. But the best come when he got to curve the bullet. Following the sheet fabric that call the loom of faith that reveal to them by binary number, the names of the people that must die by their bullets. Is go time for Wesley, but when they need him the most to hunt down a rogue assassin, that's killing them one by one. Wesley better get he's gun clean up to hunt him down. But something goes wrong, when a mistake is made, will Wesley avenge he's father death? What secrets is the fraternity hiding? he's already Wanted.

Ok geek fact here, in the graphic novel, most of the characters ain't assassins , but supervillains, that already have control of the wold, and ain't form by just one fraternity, but four. From the star of the film goes faithful, but until we see Jolie, well it turn. The story does follow some element from which is base on. but loose track of the meaning of what the story is truly about.

The acting of Mc avoy is top notch he very well be Zack from save by the bell, from he's anxiety attack to he's dirty harry attitude, this guy is going places, especially when it come to action. On Angelina part i felt it more to the same seductress style she gave in MR & Mrs Smith, quiet, serious, it doesn't cut it for me, she better make another Oscar worthy performance, cause here she just a lady with a gun with no chemistry. Morgan Freeman said a curse word, that really sound it like shaft, this man is already following in step of walker in taking different role.

Coming from action Russian director Timur Bekmambetov, has a vast fascination to the matrix movies that he have up the anti, but this being He's first American film, kind come flat, the car flipping to get the shot in top of a limo, was something that only Michael bay have done, but without the shot, or the pick me up in your viper in the parking lot of the grocery store, are some well, but honestly the chase sequence driving with your feet while being in front of the car, and shooting from behind that's so terminator 2. What i will give is train crash, by far not even Steven seagal under siege 2 can make a car jump and make a spectacle of it. but honesty the siege on the factory, and the well is play out , make the hall shootout of the 1rst matrix make it wipe it on baby bottom, i mean really this is something that you can see in a shooter game or even a kung fu flick. With the cashing of the gun, while shoveling to the head of a former friend, is pure classic.

I don't approve the way they made the film, if they have gone in the original graphic novel , the budget would been higher. But let alone to the visual of the action, this film can only be compare than action film. period.

I mean is great we see something standardizing from Mrs. Jolie, but hey she was better in Beowulf, but the y should added, more story to the fraternity, but introducing more than one.

the action sequence are great, but they should have made more, and surprise us, like in the style of Night watch and Day watch. Look i m true fan to the comic, and bottom line this film is great, not excellence, but great. that truly entertain ya with the fine acting of McAvoy, and the comedy tone that have. So go out and pull out the gun, and give this one a try, and let see if you can really curve the bullet for this.

he's this decade tin man with a hearth

Is been a while that i haven't seen a pixar film, the only one that ever like(beside toy story) the incredible, i still waiting for that sequel. But now it surprise me they went all sci-fi, giving us a little robot trash can, a head in the form of venaculars, a body of a gamecube, and legs of a tank. Oh yeah he very well is and offspring off r2d2 and short circuit's Johny 5. Here my review:

2700 humanity have left the planet thank to one major corporation call Bnl(Buy a Lot) that made us into lazy shopping consumers, ah the magic of capitalism. well anyway the more we bought the more made us forget to pick up our the garbage. until it turn into a state of emergency, that earth wasn't anymore inhabitable. and starting a new life in space, living in cruise ship, where the definition of relaxation was sitting down into gravity chair, drinking your slurpee, talking with your friend wall day, while the machines do our work. Leaving the thrash to special unit of cleaners robots call Wall.e(Waste allocation load.lifter.Earth Class). Which their only purpose was to pick up our garbage. Withing years most stop working becoming obsolete, except one, that start having a personality of it own, from love of collecting rare items, like rings, key-cars, to having a cockroach as a pet, and living in a dumb trunk, where he storage he's finding, his spare parts when something is need of repair, and every night he See's the movie that make him dance, and maybe, maybe hold the hand on that special someone. Living any life ordinary , until he start chasing a laser pointer of sort leading him through a ship leaving a capsule, calling her Eve(Extraterrestrial vegetation evaluation)when active, scanning the environment, to find any kind of plant life. so he start following her, until she start noticing him. showing her the many wonders of he's collection, and the worlds. Making her enjoy her stay, until he show her, a boot with a plant, shutting herself off and activating a beacon, while he take care of her, from rain, sun, and a boat ride. Until the rocket come to pick her, taking him into space where the many wonders of the stars can surprise the human eye. Boarding in a cruise ship, he start looking for her, he notice the change of men, becoming into the next step of couchpotatevolution. when he meet the captain(Jeff Garlin), he get the news of what the eve unit found, only to be stolen by some one, So is up to our hero, to rescue his true love, and getting the plant to the main reactor of the ship, taking humanity back where once was home. Is a Wall. adventure.

the movie have a very moral message of where technology, and the real problem of obesity, and shooping of product, is something that anyone should start noticing. Cause really there more people at home spending their time in front of a computer, or their big plasma Hd tv. That inspire them to make a very unique take of the future.

Pixar have outdone itself, with the magnificent visual of space, this is by far the best lighting and design of space, that will make NASA envy of quality picture. There's no denial, is that good than Titan a.e. and treasure planet can combine. The animation is as always very fluid, by standard there's nothing cubicle (than Wall.e) that this movie have. Also take notice this is the first time that actual pixar movie use a real life person, thank to the comedic style of non other Fred Willer.

Hey lets not forget our star, Wall.e is the most entertaining robot of any picture than certain yellow, and short droids. Wall.e have emotion and it come from he's vernaculars eyes, to he's sheer enthusiast off discovering new thing, and been clumsy when it comes impressing eve. The chemistry they have is what this movie is all about. from her shooting at him, to her very sinterzy laugh. Well crafting when it come to the dance floating in space, will win the feel and joy of this movie, if you wonder where the hearth of the movie is on this scene. this can be surpass to the gala dance of beauty and the beast.

The movie with capture the hearth for all ages that can only come from pixar by introducing to the lovable a mini thrash picking bot, and he's white capsule girlfriend. that make Wall.e a sure pixar movie, that follow the same entertainment of finding Nemo to the friend ship in Toy story.

so go out and enjoy it is recommend it, but remember try to change sit cause their gonna be lots of women felling for this film that you won't be able to hear it. Really girls the movie have feling but doesn't mean you have ruin for us, with your Hahn. Cause really we don't wanna contact with our feminine side.

What really is Happening?

He have taken ghost, then aliens in a farm, Unbreakable bald hero, then weird stuff happening in a village, and finally a Girl near a pool. Yes M. Night have made it all into box offices hits, but with special ingredient call twist.

Now he directing he's first R rated film call the Happening, does it have the touch that he always give, or is it another that's the people know what surprise is gonna have? Here my review:

Like in any day, Central Park is having the same winding day like any other, people walking, some are sitting in the bench reading, or eating, when all of sudden they stop, and star repeating the last word they said, to just finish it by killing themselves. By that time we meet a science teacher Elliot Moore(Mark Wathlberg) where the school call all teacher to notify the happening, Thinking that it is a terrorist attack, other something else. Elliot head home to get hes wife Alma Moore(Zoey Deschannel) going to the train station to meet up with a friend Julian(John Lequizamo) and her daughter. By the moment they get into the train, is stop by near town, where they eat in a dinner, and watching the news reporting that is occurring in Northeast, by then scare and panic they head to a safe zone where the infection can get to them, but later Elliot find out if they travel in large group they die. So now is up to him to save her wife and the girl, for not killing one of other, facing other paranoid people, to taking shelter in a old women house. They say the plants are out to get us, for what we doing to the planet? or is it a conspiracy of the USA goverment? or a leak from a nuclear plant? what the reality then?

The acting of mark Walthberg ain't that good, he's acted more like a teen heartdrop, then he's performances of a dirty harry character. Always doing he homework to getting out of a jam. Doing the math, or thinking like a nerd. Zoey Kind like hers, the emotionest wife, always thinking the worst, and then is john Which really i didn't get he's beef against Zoey what it was about they should have reveal more detail on those character, then just letting fight anyway.

The story for what is focus on is non other than global warming, i mean seriously the plant doing this, well is true to what is happening to most harvest, they 're not doing very well. By hard for me to believe that person can kill himself by breathing the toxins they release. That the cause confusing , that later comes non movement, than death, is hard to believe that. I saw the movie more like a display of killing, that seriously is some most disturbing, that this film have to offer, the tag killing where a person shoot himself than later drop it, for another person pick it and do the same thing, continuing it until there's nobody else to pick it.

There some scare moment, like he first the 6 sense, but there ain't that much suspence, i mean the killing scene ain't that bloody, or gory. But more uncomfortable to see, for Shyamalan making he's first R rated was kind of a lost. The film ain't boring or not even scary, the man know you scare people, but he doesn't know to turn it into a horror.

Reality, the film doesn't accomplish any interest in the character or the story, this feel much as pg-13, i mean seriously if ye want some scare try to learn it from Rob Zombie Halloween, was i name it the best scare of 07. So for better or worst he better tick with pg-13 suspense, than R. Cause you need more than suicide of people, to make this film into another hit.

Ang Lee Take on the Hulk had drama, action, than more Drama.
Hit big in the box office, but had bad review by the fan. Like all marvel film had cameo appearance of stan "the man"Lee, to the 70's tv version Lou Ferrigno, But now he's the voice of the green monster. Remade under the banner of the Marvel studio, did they successive it? Here's my review:

Bruce Banner (Edward Norton)was re own scientist speciality on gamma radiation, when lab accident change him from a man to sciences to a man on the run, hiding from the military under the command of general Thunderbolt Ross(William Hurt), hes been chase from all over America. In the desperate moment Bruce try to find a cure, before he become property of the goverment. So a now son to be retire soldier by the last name of Blonsky, get he chance to capture him, The only person that could help Banner Is anonymous contact from he laptop, calling himself Mr. Blue, reuniting to her lost love and daughter of he's arch nemesis General Ross Dr.Elizabeth Ross (Liv Tyler). So now is matter of time before the good doctor become green, but everything could change when Blonsky(Tim Roth) become obsessive for what they gave him , becoming into something more menacing than the emerald beast. Now the destruction will come to NY, where last stand of both beast will come to a final blow. Hulk mash.

Edward Norton performance didn't convince me not that much, as the desperate scientist, but when it come to getting angry that's where he shine more. Liv Tyler acting was nice but more of a slow process, that really need to be seen in a soap opera. As for William Hurt wasn't that rought as the general but still convince. But the man that really give the up on he's role is Tim Roth he is quentified for every role he is in. He can make anybody see how a real man can take a hit to a tree.

Now for the action when it come to the hulk, This time he didn't look like a cg ninja turtle, with the new grey green tone, he look more menacing, and more fear. The first confrontation that he have was nice, by destroying everything without noticing that harm he was doing around, from the the ripping of a hummer to the destruction, to the kick ass fight he have with Blonsky, that could only be compare to the real fight he had in the ultimate comic against Captain America. The Last crem go to the confrontation with against The abomnation, that a fight like that cannot by seen in a WWE match, from the pounding he does with the used of some car pieces gloves, to the excitement buy hanging in the helicopter, to the most memorable scene in the movie the saying of Hulk Smash. There's nothing good, to the perfection they did with the direction of Louis Leterrier, what was the Ang Lee was missing Ang Lee version :comedy.

Some chase shots were well done, reminisce to the bourne film, but when it come to the cg shot were all dark, except to the army, were the fire work get more fire, but when it come to the abomination fight, they when all cloverfield to it. And best of all there were people flying which was important from a monster film.

From the story view, i like s they took some element taken from the comic, from the relationship of Banner and Mr.Blue, that come from Mr. 100 bullet Himself Brian Azzarrello.To the mentioning of the super soldier serum, can anyone say Captain America, the style of the film have basing it more on the 70's tv series, it doesn't feel like a fugitive , or a bourne flick. The only letdown that had ,was more fighting with the abomination cause really i saw the destruction, and the hurting. But it needed some building falling, and some car throwing, the same mayhem that godzilla do, when he's period hit.

So with the feud that marvel had with Norton, on what version was gonna make the cut, there's no wrong do it. The movie accomplish on all level, then its predecessor. It doesn't compare to the Iron Man film, but the excitement can be seen in green. I don't know what strategy marvel have, by the look of it, they are heading to a new horizon when it come making a real comic movie.

The movie was good, not great, but shows its potential when it come by unknown french director that knows it craft, from making Unleash n Transpotter2, Dc better take note when it come to directing, and acting. And finally Stan Lee he always wanted to be the hulk, well didn't see it, but betcha, he was ready set the place on fire, like he did in the universal lot.

so where's the suspense of it?

Every now n then there comes a film, that doesn't show the horror or the gore, but just the scare, and the use of low budget. Comes the strangers, with today used of the camera, is all film in shaky cam, which many filmmaker describe"a way to show the realism". Well they accomplish it. here the review:

Young couple come home from a wedding reception,staying in a cabin in the outskirt of the city, James Hoyt(Scott Speedman) was crush from been rejected by Kristen Mckay(Liv Tyler) by showing the ring. Not speeking, silence stood, to forget everything. They drink some champagne, eat some ice scream, take a shower, and light the chimney, when suddenly someone star knocking their door, to see who it was, a woman star asking for a name. which tell her "sorry", leaving she go to the shadow. When James go out , Kristen star receiving more knocking, from all apart of the house, when it revealed she was been stalk, by 3 mask people. Driving her to the point of paranoia, when James comes home, thing get more deadlier:

1st stealing their cellulars.

2nd destroy any transportation they got.

3rd kill anyone that come to help them.

4rd take any weapon they got in their arsenal.

5ht Star playing with them.

This is one night they will never forget, if they make it out alive.

Ok, the thing that i like of the film, was the way they shot it, using the shaky cam. How it base on real life event, give that tone of what is gonna happen to this couple, i mean if something real and scary is gonna been shot camera, there be a lot of movement. And the way the killers come out from the shadows, is something that already been used by the 90's slasher films. But in this one, they play it right, giving the scare for happening every moment. Is a surprise how this killers gave me some chill for just appearing.

Now the bad, most of the movie that the killer, just scaring the audiences than the couples. I mean i felt it more like a suspense but not a horror, this same style they shot I know what you did last summer. then less not forget when in one scene, Scott speedmane go to the barn to call for help.Knowing that wheres one of killer come out, i mean to they know there's a radio there or they getting ready to smash it when one of them use it. I mean there's no logic to it. But the big surprise come when they don't tel who are the killers or what they look like. Especially when on the why they 're stalking them?

So the movie got some suspense n scare, by a low budget. It wasn't bad, but little disappointing by not telling who were the killers. My theory just a couple hillbillers, looking for some fun i guest.

The movie was date to be release last October. But they change it cause of the saw phenomenon. So it was left in hiatus until they announce it for May, from seen it i think they should have left it for a dvd release. period.

First of all, i wanna star out with a apology, from my last blog that came wrong, from manny misspelling to not correcting the words, and the paragraphs. Now lets begin, is been 19 years since the last adventure, but there were rumors for a 4th installment, but there were problems, with the makers n the studios. Last year, Shia labeouf announce the new tittle in the mtv's music videos awards.
Calling it the Kingdom of the crystal skull, Spielberg said that fan's "were gonna be disappoint", is he right? here my slash of a review:

Miraculous escaping thank to jet turbine, he find shelter in a near town, not knowing it was a nuclear test. Surviving it, he is question, for what happen in the base. Back home it doesn't get better, when he is fire from teaching cause they charge him for helping the red's. But when he receive a message from a biker greaser name Mutt(Shia Lebouf) asking him for help to save his mother and a profesor Oxl(play by legendary British actor John Hurt) That Indy know him, He try to unravel a riddle that take them to South America Peru. Where they search take them to find the crystal skull. Just to fall right into russian hands. Held by the sword swinger Dr.Irana Spalko(Cate Blanchett), and reuniting with a very lost love Marion Ravenwood(Karen Allen), to escape and start a new adventure that take them, to confront, new danger, falling 3 times to a waterfall, to man eating ants, to find the lost city that is call El Dorado.

The acting of Harrison ford was the best thing from the film, from hes fear of snake(that still get some laught) to hes daring stunt, o yeah hes back to the Famous archaeologist, Cate Blanchett playing as a villain that a first for me, cause she really know her russian character, reminded me of another call Diana from the V tv series(if anyone know it). I think The best moment of Karen Allen comes when she argue with Harrison, and of course the secret that tell him too. I was very confuse with the Ray Winstone part cause really who is he, a russian or cia? Labeouf started good, playing the rough and stuff biker, that rescue, but he lost me in some scene, but the relationship he start having with Indy, really give the style of sarcasm that the films have.

Npow the story follow the same formula to the others, from beginnings finding him in danger, to been hire for a job or trying to find someone, later some adventures, than fight it off against a big brute, more adventure n danger, and ending it with a very big bang. I enjoy his escape from the military warehouse, with the way he used the whip, o yeah you can tell that important for the film, to the biker chase that ain't neither close when comparing it to the bike chase of 3rd bourne movie. I kind enjoy the duel of the jeeps between Shia and Cate. But some them were over top ridiculous, i mean swinging shia, what is he, but wait then he receive help from the monkeys, he ain't Tarzan but more of George. Than who here survive 3 waterfalls, really who.
Some of the jungle is mostly made of Cg. Really you can tell it.

Like the mixing of the legend of el dorado to the mystery of the famous area 51, but with psycho turn that you can't compare to the previous ones, yeah people it involve little green men. honestly i kind like it , is a new way to telling it for new generation. Manny old fan won't take the like kind. Is sometime it get strange. But the true gold is in the classic gag that films are very know at. So the magic is till there. With great lines, to the entertainment that you wont leave your sit for nothing.

I said it, "it wasn't gonna be good to the 3rd, but will be entertained". that's all about it.
But be honest is good to see Harrison into the role that he most recognize at. So is the 5th one gonna be made and will star shia Lebouf as the title character? Well i won't answer that.
but lets hope it happen in another 19 years. Period.
